This place never disappoints. Pupusas are yummy! Perfection !
I rarely eat at the restaurant and opt to place order over the phone for pick up. My husband loves the carne asada plate , daughter likes the sopa de camarón , my son loves the pupusas .
Friendly service and food is great! -

I have lived a block away from this place for about a year now, and have come in a couple times each month. The food is decent and I like it enough, but coming here is like walking into a bush of thorns. I'm extremely lenient when it comes to customer service, but today I'm writing my first ever review.
When I called in to place a to-go order, I wanted to confirm I was calling the one by my house instead of the one on MLK. I was told that the location I called was on 27th; I was baffled. "You mean this is not the location near 38th?" "No, that location is closed today." "...Closed?" "Yes, closed." "Well, ok. Thanks for your time." Immediately walked over to a very much open restauraunt serving customers. I must have called the wrong place? Why would another restauraunt say their sister location was closed?
I'm starving and already here, so I make my to-go order and wait at the bar. I redial the number I called earlier while I'm waiting, to let the other restauraunt know they're open, and sure enough the phone in front of me rings twice, I hang up before anyone answers it. Baffled.
Get my order and offer my card to pay. The woman at the register hands me the small card pay tablet system and in the process selects 30% tip with her thumb. I tell her she selected the wrong tip and ask her to please resubmit it before I enter my pin. She presents it again, with the additional $5 charge, again. I ask her to please redo it once more. Finally the charge matches my receipt and I pay. With a reasonable tip of 15%. For a to-go order. Wish I hadn't.
After today I will never be back again. Horrible. Awful. Don't expect it to change or improve. They don't want the customers to begin with. -

This place is one of my favorites. The portions are huge. The prices are good and the food is DELICIOUS!

This is all I experienced my first time here Bad customer service to start. I ask for a banana shae and the lady says we are all out of everything in blended. And What i got was so Salty. I understand that Chicharron is salty but this was A ridicule. I was more worried about my health than anything else. I mentioned it to the waiter and said that maybe with the Salsa it would straighten out but never brought it. Refill on a 6 oz cup of coffee, never happened and i asked twice and both times, "they went to go get it." Never got it. I love Salvadorian Food but if you want my recommendation "EL SALSABOR" on venice and western is way better.
Maybe i could be wrong. Maybe it was just my Luck. They have 4 stars on the chart but really seem like a 1 star. Doesn't make me want me to go back. -

Great food. Fast service. The food was flavorful and did not feel to greasy. I had the Plato mixto and this plate was huge. It's definitely enough for two. The prices are reasonably priced. I would have given the place 5 stars but the waitress never came back to ask how we were doing after she originally dropped off the food. There was 12 of us and she only came back once only after we had to flag her down. Lastly, the lighting... fluorescent bulbs, really? I expect fluorescent lighting at fast food, not a restaurant. Overall good experience, despite the lighting and the waitress issues. I would definitely come back...I heard the dish to try here is the Sopa de Pata. I will definitely try that next time.
